| Maybe that should be entitled *Lack of Tolerance* since it is far more the case that we each, on occassion, display a severe lack of tolerance for others and their beliefs. I don't have the *One Right Answer* for any individual for each and every possible situation, though I do believe I have the *One Right Answer* for me in any situation. And given that I can only know what is right for me, I must therefore accept that another person knows what is right for them. If I disagree with them, I have the right to express that opinion, but so too do they have that same right in regards to me. I think I am adult enough to discuss with any person why I believe what I do, and for them to instruct me in what it is they believe and why as well. Whether it be religious reasoning, or a political debate, or a discussion regarding the right fork to use for which course of a meal (I keep it easy and just give out 1 fork, let them figure out what to use the spoon for). This is a short rant, not much to really say except that it is disappointing to find that we do not all pratice, towards others, that which we wish others to practice towards us. Not a direct issue of the *do unto others* thing, though regardless of the religious aspects of it, isn't that what we would all desire? To be treated as we treat others, if we treat them with respect, understanding, and tolerance, then we can hope that they treat us in the same manner. On the same issue, should we treat them with disrespect and abuse, we have only shown them how it is we expect to be treated in return.
